Vivid Hospitality Website Branding Shoot

I was commissioned to shoot some new ‘Meet The Team’ photos for their new website. My brief was to create something more ‘organic’ than staged office shots, or headshots against plain backgrounds. So, my client and Creative Director Mia Horton was working with me for this Vivid Hospitality Website Branding Shoot, on a cold, winter morning in Altrincham. The brief was to photograph key headshots of the management team, plus some live and natural meeting shots in the location. Nothing too stiff, or too contrived. Ok then. We decided to photograph the headshots against a bar area, using the daylight behind to create a gorgeous blue cast over the out of focus background. With a small hint of brainwork in front of the lens, we had our look. All stylish, all organic and looking great before we moved on to the team shots.

The Con Club Altrincham

The location for the shoot was The Con Club in Altrincham. Call time to set up was around 7am, with our Vivid Hospitality Team arriving to be photographed from 8am. We were on a tight schedule too, as the guys had meetings to attend, plus we needed to move our equipment by 10am for the restaurant to start getting ready for the day. No pressure then! This Vivid Hospitality Website Branding Shoot was going to be live, slightly documentary and NOT boring! I’ve worked at The Con Cub before - a gorgeous two-floor restaurant and bar, and formerly the Working Men’s Conservative Club, this restaurant offers all-day dining, from brunch to a stunning dinner menu. This Vivid Hospitality Website Branding Shoot was going well, as we kept one eye on the clock too…

Business Branding Photography

The location and approach for this Vivid Hospitality Website Branding Shoot worked well. The lighting looks very natural on the team photos, very much a daylight feel…though it was actually lit with my portable lighting kit. The room was very dark, as the sun hadn’t yet risen! If I hadn’t told you, you’d never know? We let the Team chat about business and life in general, as they relaxed and forgot all about me being there. Et Voila! There we have a great collection of photos for their website, to be used up front and background images with text.
